As Americans suffer under the worst economy since the Great Depression, Democrats and federal employees are pushing for a pay raise.

Sounds about par for the course, doesn’t it?

This week, New Jersey Democrat Sen. Cory Booker joined federal employee union thugs and demanded that the government give federal employees a nearly 9 percent pay raise, according to Washington newspaper, The Hill.

While the federal government can well do without most federal employees — most of which add nothing but expenses to our government — Democrats are pandering to the unions by joining their calls for an 8.7 percent pay raise for government hangerson and budget drags.

Unfortunately, they also found the support of a traitor Republican in the person of Penn. congressman Brian Fitzpatrick who claimed that it isn’t a pay raise they seek, but “fairness.”

“We’ve got to stop calling, by the way what I just did, which is a pay increase, which it is not. It’s fair pay,” Fitzpatrick bloviated at a recent union rally.

Firstly, if you support federal employee unions, you stand against America. So, clearly Fitzpatrick is pandering for union donations and cares nothing about the country.

Meanwhile, as these useless expenditures by our treasury whine for higher pay inn jobs that already pay better than most jobs, the rest of us can’t afford our rent, our utilities, or even food for our tables.
