Bill Gates says that he is tired of people attacking him over his use of private jets despite his constant blathering about global warming because he is more important than all you plebeians.
So, just shut up, ya know?
The Microsoft billionaire was giving an interview to the BBC last week when he was asked about the criticism he faces over his use of private jets.
“You actually mentioned your use of a private jet. Let me put it to you directly, what do you say to the charge that if you are a climate change campaigner, but you also travel around the world in a private jet, you’re a hypocrite?” Amol Rajan, a journalist with the BBC, asked the billionaire, according to CNN.
“Well, I buy the gold standard of funding Climeworks, to do direct air capture that far exceeds my family’s carbon footprint,” he replied.
This was no reply about planes, granted. Climeworks is a company that is developing “air capture technology” that supposedly removes carbon dioxide in the air.
This “technology” is junk science, but Gates seems to think it negates his use of private jets. But Gates added that he also engages in other “science” to address global warming, too.
“And I spend billions of dollars on climate innovation. So, you know, should I stay at home and not come to Kenya and learn about farming and malaria?” he added.
“I’m comfortable with the idea that, not only am I not part of the problem by paying for the offsets, but also through the billions that my Breakthrough Energy Group is spending, that I’m part of the solution,” he exclaimed.
All his silly efforts to address mythic global warming does nothing to negate all the supposed damage his private jets do.
But, don’t forget. He is far more important than you are, so he should be allowed to do anything he wants.
YOU, on the other hand, need to have your gas stoves banned, your cars taken from you, and your home taken from you. You should be forced to move into a box in the city, forced to take public transportation. You need to own nothing, go nowhere, and like it.
