A woman in Patterson, California, shot and killed a home invader who was attacking her husband with a gun she had only brought home the day before.

Once again putting the lie to the left’s claim that guns can’t be used for self-defense, 45-year-old homeowner Yang Luan was trying to keep a thug from entering his home. But the intruder started attacking him.

The fight caused Luan’s wife, Yuhui Zheng, 50, to run upstairs and retrieved her new handgun. She then turned the gun on her husband’s attacker and emptied the think into him.

According to ABC 10, the 22-year-old thug died of his wounds on the scene.

The Patterson Police identified the deceased intrusion suspect as Angelo Santana in a Facebook post. The police said he was “heavily intoxicated” and trying to “force entry into the home.”

Police indicated their preliminary findings show the shooting incident “was an example of strictly self-defense.”

Officials added that the shooting “was an example of strictly self-defense.”

The police added that the homeowners are cooperating and “findings will eventually be submitted to the Stanislaus County district attorney’s office for review of the legality of the homicide.”
